Monkberry Sound is a composition and audio team consisting of musicians James McCaffrey and Zac Silva. Hailing from Asbury Park, NJ, both Zac and James have spent their lives performing and recording music with, and for, a multitude of acts. They started Monkberry Sound in 2020 with a focus on film scoring and commercial music.

In addition to their work in Monkberry Sound, James is a founding member of psychedelic / progressive rock band Karmic Juggernaut, and Zac is a founding member of R&B outfit The Shady Street Show Band.

The Hangar
Nestled in the woods down a hill in a quiet neighborhood of Wall Township, New Jersey, The Hangar is our personal playground. It combines great equipment with a DIY attitude allowing for the perfect artistic space for us and the collective – not the least bit sterile but with the ability to record professionally and efficiently. The Hangar has a plethora of amplifiers, keyboards & organs, drums, percussion, noisy toys, effects, and just GEAR.
